Updated COVID-19 arrangements
UPDATED COVID-19 ARRANGEMENTS – 21ST OCTOBER 2020
On 21 October 2020, Dan Jarvis the mayor for the Sheffield City Region announced that as from Saturday 24 October 2020 South Yorkshire will move into the highest tier of the Covid-19 alert system. This acts as reminder to everyone that the Covid-19 virus continues to pose a serious risk to the health of the people of South Yorkshire. Rotherham along with the rest of South Yorkshire (Barnsley, Sheffield and Doncaster) must now adhere to stricter guidance from Saturday.
There is no time limit on how long these new restrictions will last. We want to remind you that since March LASER Credit Union has been able to operate almost as normal, and despite these stricter rules, we want to continue that as far as possible. We have made major changes behind the scenes to enable customers to access many of our services, such as requesting a BACS payment or a top-up loan, from the comfort of your own home using your smartphone, tablet or laptop using our mobile app. Customers who regularly withdraw cash at our office can also apply for an “Engage Card” – a VISA debit card that lets you have 24hr access to your money by using any cash machine.
Please call or email us if you haven’t already signed up for our new services, and we’ll help you through the process.
These new arrangements also mean that we will be able to continue to offer a good range of services to customers even if we have to change our opening hours because of Government restrictions.
Please remember that the aim of the Government’s rules is to keep us all safe by reducing social contacts so, if at all possible, please limit your visits to our office by using our online services on the mobile app and website and if you wish to contact us please do so by phone, or email.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your continued support and co-operation during this time.
Stay safe.
